These thermostats are used wherever heat exchangers or water-bearing pipe systems exposed to cold air need to be protected from the effects of low temperatures (e.g. in an air duct). The frost protection thermostats activate a switch contact if the temperature drops below the set value and triggers the necessary switching operations such as:
- Interrupt the power to the fan
- Actuate valves
- Shut-off the compressor
- Close air intakes
- Activate a visual or acoustic signal, etc.
Features
- steam filled (response length with temperature exposure of min. 30 cm across the total length)
- 6 m capillary pipe sensor Ø 3.2 mm (surface sensor)
- 2 m capillary pipe with sensor cartridge Ø 9.7 x 77 mm
