An additional copper gasket is not required for initial installation. However, the brass surface must not be scratched or damaged. However, an additional copper seal may be required after the union nut has been completely screwed on and off several times or if the brass surface is in poor condition. Correct torque for the union nut: - 40 to 45 Nm (without copper seal) - 40 to 50 Nm (with copper seal)
