Description
By prefilling the units with refrigerant, on site installation is made easier, faster and more reliable. The design of the coupling is almost 100% reliable at preventing air becoming trapped or refrigerant being lost when connecting the components together to ensure optimum flow characteristics. Once screwed together, the metal/metal seal between the coupled halves guarantees a perfectly sealed connection for the lifetime of the system.
Assembly
If necessary, clean the threads on both halves of the coupling with a clean cloth in order to prevent dirt and moisture from getting into the system.
Lubricate the thread, membranes and rubber seal on the male half with refrigerant oil. Screw on the cap nut by hand until securely caught in the thread and tighten with two perfectly fitting or adjustable spanners until you feel definite resistance.
Axially mark hexagon bolt and bulkhead wall as well as counter cap nut and further tighten the cap nut until the markings are positioned 1/4 turn (approx. 90°) apart. This ensures a leakproof metallic connection between both halves of the coupling. The coupling is sealed.
