The Copeland scroll compressors in the ZS*KA series represent a key new development in scroll technology for refrigeration systems with low capacities of 4 m³/h to 5 m³/h.
As with other Copeland scroll compressors, the ZS*KA scroll compressors also feature a scroll compliance mechanism that makes them particularly durable and makes them extremely reliable even under difficult conditions (e.g. liquid hammering).
The Z*KA models are designed for normal refrigeration systems and ideally suited to open fridges, cold stores, milk tank coolers and refrigerated cabinets in supermarkets. These models allow the use of different refrigerants and stand out for their quiet and low vibration operation. This makes them particularly suitable for use in retail and catering. Typical areas of use include supermarkets, restaurants, mini-marts and milk cooling systems.
The ZS*KA series with 1.3 to 1.8 hp offers an annual efficiency that is up to 28% higher than that of conventional hermetic piston compressors. These compressors are approved for use with refrigerants containing HFCs, new refrigerants with a low greenhouse warming potential and HFO mixtures. This series is approved for refrigerants R407A/F/C, R448A/R449A, R404A/R507A and R134a.
Lubrication
Ester oil, factory filled: Emkarate RL 32 3MAF (531.2827, 1 litre can)
For applications where noise levels must be kept extremely low, noise reduction covers are available for all scroll refrigerant compressors. Tests with this noise reduction cover have shown a 7 dBA reduction.
