They are suitable for all capillary systems with or without starting capacitor. Systems above 1/2 HP usually operate with expansion valves (systems with fluid collector) and have a higher motor starting torque. A potential starting relay is required here. If the SPP permits a motor start, this also replaces a potential relay. The SPP is heated when starting. Normal over temperature during operation: approx. +77 °C. A restart is possible only after 3 - 4 minutes due to the necessary cool down time. The SPP with starter capacitor increases the starting capacity by 300% or more. The SPP cannot always replace a potential relay. It should therefore be checked and approved by the system manufacturer before use.
