Parker Virginia acid tester ETK f. RL ester oil

Using the PARKER Virginia TKO & ETK acidity testers you can quickly determine whether the refrigerant compressor oil in still ok or has turned acidic. An extremely sensitive colour change ensures the precision of this test. Each pack contains a colour comparison chart.

Use:

Fill the bottle with oil up to the marked point. Then shake well. If the colour remains purple, then the oil is non-acidic. Yellow means that the oil is acidic.

The TKO colour change occurs in the neutralisation zone from 0.04 and 0.05; with the ETK the colour change occurs with acid values between 0.16 and 0,23. If the oil is very dark or very acidic, the colour turns more orange than yellow. If the oil takes on a slightly orange colour, then it is borderline acidic.

Oils that are not produced according to applicable specifications (oils with additives) may show incorrect results.Recommendation: Always replace the filter where acid has built up. We also advise replacing the special filter dryer on the suction side.

Man füllt die Flasche bis zur Markierung mit Öl. Anschließend kräftig durchschütteln. Bleibt die Farbe purpur, ist das Öl säurefrei, die Gelbfärbung bedeutet, das das Öl ist sauer.

Der Farbwechsel bei TKO findet in der Neutralisationszone von 0,04 und 0,05 statt; bei ETK erfolgt der Farbumschlag bei Säurezahlen zwischen 0,16 und 0,23. Falls das Öl sehr dunkel und sauer ist, ist die Farbe eher orange als gelb. Wenn das Öl leicht orange gefärbt ist, dann ist es an der Grenze zur Säure angelangt.

Nicht vorschriftsmäßiges Öl (Öl mit Zusätzen) zeigt eventuell ein falsches Säuretestergebnis an.
Empfehlung: Bei Säurebildung in jedem Fall Filtertrockner wechseln. Auch raten wir, in solchen Fällen Spezialfiltertrockner zusätzlich saugseitig einzusetzen.
