XWEB is a data logging and remote monitoring system based on web server technology. It is a new, modern data logging system for maintaining temperatures in line with HACCP regulations. The device fulfils the requirements of EU directive 37/2005. Using the web site, it is able to communicate with external clients. The client PC requires just a standard browser such as Microsoft® or Mozilla Firefox®. The web pages for displaying all information are already prepared on the web server. The Linux operating system guarantees maximum efficiency and security. The server reads, stores and checks all data that is received from the Dixell regulators and modules connected via an RS485 interface. ModBus-RTU is the communication protocol used. XWEB is compatible with most ModBus-RTU devices that are not produced by Dixell. A direct connection can also be made using an Ethernet crossover cable. Clients (PCs) can communicate with the server via various means:
- Modem: a “point to point” connection, modem to modem
- Locally via USB cable: Before connecting the included USB cable, please first install the USB software on the CD-ROM
- Locally via Ethernet crossover cable: A direct Ethernet RJ45 connection using the Ethernet port on your computer
- Ethernet: In your home Ethernet LAN network with an RJ45 connector
- Intranet / Internet: if a static IP address is available, via RJ45 connection
XWEB management features:
- Display data and logs, register and log alarms from the connected regulators
- Alarm management can be configured by the user: Activate relays or send alerts via fax, email or SMS
- Interactive commands for connected regulators
- Change parameters on connected regulators
- Graphical and tabular display and printout of data
