The easy to attach LCD display is used by the service technician for commissioning (integrated configuration assistance). The complete configuration can be copied to other drivers from the display. When in normal operation, all system variables, relay output data and protection functions are displayed. When using the twin driver, a key combination can be used to switch between circuit A and circuit B. The display is not required for later operation and can be removed. The models differ in the main language that can be selected. English is always available as a second language. The servicing and manufacturer screens are password protected.
Configuration and programming is done via a removable display that does not need to be attached during normal operation (optional) or via a PC/laptop using the Carel VPM software (USB interface accessory required). Only 4 parameters need to be configured to start using the controller:
- The refrigerant being used
- The valve model being used
- The pressure transducer / sensor
- Application characteristics (e.g. cold water unit with scroll compressor, cold water unit with screw compressor, refrigeration unit with integrated compressor, combined refrigeration units, etc.)
Configuring these parameters automatically sets all other parameters to the required values. All controller parameters can also be defined by the user.
