With its 2nd generation 2-step compressors, BITZER is setting new standards in technology and performance for enhanced low temperature applications.
This series is the result of intensive research based upon many years of experience in the construction of exceptionally economical and solid reciprocating piston compressors.
With regard to the changing requirements for using alternative refrigerants, many aspects of these compressors have been further developed and specially optimised for operation with HFCs R404A and R507A.
The experience gained from parts that have been tried and tested of many years was drawn upon in order to offer an exceptionally robust design for a wide range of applications.
The gas flow and service valves have been specially tuned for low temperature operation. In combination with a 2nd generation driving mechanism and motor designed to be as effective as possible, an even better cost effectiveness compared to conventional low temperature systems has been achieved.
Just one model series for chlorine-free HFC refrigerants and CFCs.
Changing over to HFC refrigerants:
• Use a polyolester oil approved by BITZER
• (“Y” suffix in the type designation).
• Adjust expansion value for intermediate cooling to the HFC refrigerant.
