Based on the proven BITZER CO2 compressors, a series was specially developed for the particular demands of subcritical CO2 applications where there are tough requirements with regard to still pressures and condensation temperatures.
Using the proven SL series as a basis, this new compressor series was developed specially for the demands from especially high still pressures, such as those that arise during longer system downtimes. These compressors are also particularly suitable for use in cold water networks with condensation temperatures up to 25 °C. In combination with the CO2 compressors for transcritical applications, this new series can be used to create extremely efficient combined normal and deep freezing systems with a wide performance spectrum. The universal range of uses for this compressor series further demonstrates a hybrid solution using CO2/R134a (cascade). Especially good eco-efficiency is further achieved in combination with the optimised ECOLINE series of compressors (brochure KP-104).
